The Citizens Advice East Dorset Team




I joined the organisation in 2014 and am responsible for the smooth running of the service and, as we are an independent charity, ensuring the ongoing financial stability of  the Company.

PAT TEMPLE  Advice Manager

I joined Citizens Advice East Dorset in 1998 as a volunteer adviser. I am now the Advice Manager and my job is to ensure that we have enough advisers with appropriate resources to deliver a high quality advice service.

MANDI DOUGLAS Deputy Advice Manager / MacMillan Caseworker

I joined Citizens Advice in 2008 and have a varied and interesting role, supervising advice sessions, assessing the quality of advice given, and helping with volunteer training and feedback. I also oversee our Macmillan service, giving specialist benefits advice to people with cancer.

SOPHIE BROWN Outreach / MacMillan Caseworker

I have been an Outreach adviser since 2011. Currently I have sessions at Leigh Park Children's Centre on Tuesdays, Verwood Library and Hopscotch Nursery Ferndown on alternate Thursdays and Lake Road and Cranborne Surgeries alternate Fridays. I also specialise in benefit advice and assist and represent clients at benefit appeals.

KAREN HANCOCK  Money Adviser

I have been a Specialist Money Adviser for over 10 years, the last five at East Dorset Citizens Advice. I assist Clients who have debt problems and also deal with their associated benefit and housing issues. I also supervise general advice sessions when required.

FIONA WILKINSON Training Manager

I am the coordinator of training in our local offices, supporting staff to give the best possible service to clients.

JULIE HOUSE Admin Assistant

I work part-time as as Administration Assistant. I do a variety of tasks to help support the Advice team to ensure that Clients get a good service from East Dorset Citizens Advice.

SYLVIE MITCHELL  Advice Session Supervisor

As a Supervisor, I have a variety of duties and responsibilities. During an Advice session, these include giving support and guidance to Advisers and  monitoring the case records to give the best possible advice to clients.
